& John Harrison on drums/vocals.
GET THE FACTS
Lyons taught himself to play guitar by emulating the greats.
He became the lead guitarist and lead vocalist of numerous bands in the South Florida scene.
Performed regularly at a string of clubs, perfecting rock and blues covers and developing his technical guitar playing skills.
Worked on his style and showmanship.
Started writing original material.
First original band, "Gunnar's Revenge".
Performed at local clubs, street parties, beach parties, skate board ramp parties, frat parties, etc.
Band broke up - members went their separate ways.
Sep 1995 - Joined Walrus; a rock n' roll cover band.
His previous experience came through and he really started to command a sense of stage presence.
Lyons was serious about music but the rest of the band members were not.
Different goals and different dreams led to the disintegration of the band.
Teamed up with friend and producer Tom Manos to record his first album; “Thank God For Music”.
Jun 1998 - “Thank God for Music” album was mastered by Mike Fuller and released locally.
Sep 1998 - "Going Blind" reached college radio stations nationally.
Sep 1998 - Lyons officially forms LYONS is r.s.p. – rock sensory perception
Opening concert - joined on stage by special guests Bobby Thomas Jr. on drums and Felix Pastorius on bass.
Nov 1998 - Coconut Grove Banyan Festival, Coconut Grove, FL, USA
Dec 1998 - fund raiser for Hepatitis C awareness, Miami, FL, USA
Jan 1999 - opens the Taste of the Grove Festival, Miami, FL, USA
Jun 1999 & 2000 - Fête de la Musique, South Beach, FL, USA
Jul 1999 - first international appearance in Villajoyosa, Spain
Sep 2000 - second international appearance in Amsterdam, Holland
